A young boy named Gon Freecss discovers not only that his father is alive, but is a Hunter, world-renowned for uncovering hidden treasures to lawless individuals. Gon follows in his father’s footsteps, becoming a talented Hunter himself and eventually finds his father. The original inspiration for the manga is said to have come from the creator’s own collecting hobbies.
